May 2022 Newsletter

Greeting to all of our dear friends and brothers in the name of Jesus Christ!

As we continue our journey into 2022, we to wonder how much worse things can get!  Higher gas prices and food going through the roof; it really makes us wonder about our required support for God’s growing ministry!

Do we play it safe and stop growing? Should we go into a defensive mode? Or do we trust in God and in all of you!  God is faithful, keeping us moving forward all of these years regardless of the times and circumstances!

Those who know me might be saying, “Carlos can’t keep still!”  But to be honest, in these last 5 months we are using more funds than what is coming! But again, we have a big God and we have great partners who walk with us in faith!

Our daughter Karla came home for a week, tired and needing desperate rest.  She has been serving as a volunteer for two months helping Ukraine refuges, in Tijuana and Mexico City.

Thousands of Ukrainian refugees have been able to pass through Mexico into the United States in recent weeks. Ukrainians have been able to fly visa-free into Mexico lured by the border crossing in Tijuana but changes in crossing rules are leaving hundreds of refugees in limbo.

Karla could not stop talking about the much-needed help for these people who are stuck in Tijuana.  They cannot afford a flight back to Mexico City where they need to find someone to sponsor them before being allowed into the USA!

But we can help!  If you or your church would like to sponsor a Ukrainian family or individual, send us a note and we will follow up with you personally.

All I can say is, we are so proud to see our growing daughter just flourish serving others! That seed we planted has become a big oak tree! So thanks for your prayers and support, and just to let you know, she is using most of her own money made during 2021 selling clothes online! I remember those days, when we first started, those were blessed days!

Those who follow us on Facebook know we are opening a new ministry in the Zona Norte. Funds were received to purchase a mobile Home and to pay the rent for a whole year in Zona Norte.

This new ministry will provide counseling and training in computers and office work, for the women who want to get out prostitution. Elizabeth will be in front of this new ministry who has been with us for years! She is an accountant and lawyer who will be teaching and training women and then helping them with job placement!  Elizabeth passion comes from living in the Zona Norte herself, living for many years in an apartment duplex infested with drug addiction and prostitution. Elizabeth tells us as eight-year girl having to climb over people who were using drugs or passed out on the stair case. And to make matters worse Elizabeth’s mom was in prostitution herself. Beside this harsh environment Elizabeth was able to get herself educated.

In this new ministry Child care, classes, games and lunch will also be provided, while the kids wait for their mothers do their classes! So please keep us in your prayers for there is much to do! And if you would like to help fund this new ministry, we need the following:

So, as you can see, we now need more than ever, volunteers to help in the many ministries across Tijuana and Mexico! If you are interested, please call me or my wife Rossy, or email us at salmos18@yahoo.com.

There is so much to write about, but please don’t forget to pray for our missionaries in Sonora, Oaxaca, and all of us here in Tijuana!

In His Love and Truth, your missionaries Carlos and Rossy, and the rest of our great La Roca team!
