House of Grace “Sponsor-A-Child”
In James 1:27 it says, “Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in theirdistress and to keep oneself unstained by the world” And that is what we do. We always have our doors open for those who need help. Many of the children we have here at the House of Grace have come from homes with abuse and neglect. From parents who do drugs, or who are in prostitution or who’ve abandoned them when they were little causing them to grow up in orphanages.

La Roca Ministries reaches out to touch people’s lives that are devastated by poverty, neglect and despair. These people find themselves enslaved to drugs and alcohol and living in the streets of Tijuana, Mexico. Our desire is to mirror Christ’s compassion and concern to these people.
It has been said, “give a person a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a life.” We believed in “teaching people how to fish”. We want to see lives transformed and we believe that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our program seeks to help rebuild lives by making disciples; raising up men, women and teens as future leaders and missionaries, and sending them forth to advance the Kingdom of God on earth.

My name is Cody Spaeth. I am 17 years old, I came down to mexico for the first time when I was 9 and have been coming down ever since. People ask me why I do it, why I give up my time and summers just to possibly make a difference. I have one response- have you ever been in a prayer meeting where you cant even hear your voice over the others, where you cant help but fall on your knees, have you ever been so moved tears start streaming down your face, have you ever endured something that you never thought was possible? That because it was impossible for you but not for your God. This world isnt about us or what we can do- its all about what God can do for and through us. La Roca is more than a church, or a ministry, its God living through each of the kids at the House of Grace and men at the Ranch. Its in the youth who consume the bible like others consume facebook. -
My name is Amanda and I am 25 years old. I lived in Mexico from January of 2009 to August of 2011. It was an amazing experience working with the people there. I helped out with administration, ran various errands, was on the worship team, picked up donations, led groups and did anything/everything that needed to be done. It was so awesome to see God working everyday. Though I have moved back to Sacramento I continue to make trips down to Mexico every other month or so. The ministry has helped me grow spiritually and become more confident in who I am as a Christian. I plan on returning to Tijuana to serve whenever possible. It's an awesome ministry and I plan to always be a part of it.
