Faith Giving to Pay for La Roca Church
By Faith We Will Own Our Church Building”. Friends of La Roca, We hope that this summer has been filled with great rest, fun, and lots of sun for you! Here at La Roca, we find ourselves in an exciting season and wanted to share with you something that God has put on our hearts.
As you may know, over the past 8 years, we experienced growth in many ways and our ministry facilities limited us in what we could do in part due to lack of space. In mid-2009 we experienced God’s favor as we were able to move from our original church facility in the Zona Norte of Tijuana to rent (with an option to purchase) a much larger facility about 5 blocks away. This new location has proven to be a great blessing, allowing us to expand our ministry in unprecedented ways and is needed for continued growth.
Recently, we sensed God calling us to take a step of faith and pursue the purchase of the church building that we are currently renting. As we’ve prayed we believe God is calling us to take steps of faith to raise a total of $225,000 over three years. Why three years? Let us tell you . . .
La Roca Church is Overflowing and We Need Your Help
Church Service
God is blessing us abundantly. After being able to secure our current building with an affordable lease we began refurbishing the bottom floor of our two story building. Opening day was more than we expected and since then God continues to bring new people and members. Now in less than six months we have max’ed-out our bottom floor ministry capacity and we need to refurbish our top floor. We desperately need space for youth meetings, Sunday School classes, and ministry meetings. Please, please consider helping us expand our top floor. New Church Location – Help Us Worship Here
Here are pictures of our new Church location. This new church location will help us bring together our organization by bringing our offices, bible school, counseling and of course our Sunday school all under the same roof. Also this new location would allow us to expand beyond where we are now. We house 40 men per night, with this location we could expand to over 100 per night.
The building that we are in now can only hold our current congregation of 160 people, with the new location we could seat up to 500 people. This location will allow us to have our own parking. But most important, we would be able to reach our community by having the space to teach English, computer classes as well as to have a daycare. This would allow us to better serve our community in which God has called us to.
The price of this location is $219,000.00, with a 30 percent deposit which equals to $65,700 and $1,257.14 dollars per month. Please pray how you can help trust God in using you to help us acquire and move into this location.
Our kids have to walk down stairs and cross the street to go to Sunday school, rain or shine. This new location would help us grow by keeping our children under the same roof. So would you all help us pray for God to move on His people to keep expanding His kingdom. Carlos
A Message of Hope from Carlos
Blessing to all and I hope 2009 has had a good beginning! I hope we can all find the courage to continue to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the USA. I know it’s a whole lot easier in third world countries, because of the great need present, however, the Gospel does not need humans needs to be present beside the need of repentance before God. Regardless of how difficult it gets in the USA we must speck loudly for all to hear our cry for repentance.
God is not going to hold us accountable for the number of conversions, but we will be held accountable for not sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Remember we don’t teach the teachings of a man name Jesus, but we teach of what Jesus the God man did on the cross, on behalf of us and the world reconciling us to God.
So if we have been reconciled with God, meaning having peace with God, meaning living a life with God as His child. Then we will shout from the mountain tops and declare the Savior of the world to all the nations. Regardless of the consequence or danger! Regardless of being called every name in the book. We don’t have to excuse our self or apologize to the world of knowing the Savior of the world. Start shouting from a mountain top wishing that they would come to know our Lord and Savior, Our King and Prince!
So that we can be part of the cloud of witnesses of the unashamed!
“For whoever is ashamed of Me and my words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own Glory, and in His Father’s and of the holy angels.” Luke 9:26

Part of our Ministry Focus is bringing along side our Christian Brothers in America and allowing them to see what God is Doing in Tijuana, and what God can do in their lives, as well – an amazing and exciting experience, right across the border. You will be immersed in a true learning environment where your group can reevaluate their priorities, their faith and the term “mission.”
We especially tailor towards teenage groups as trip with us will impact many areas of their lives. Yet we’re set to challenge anybody, and give them a new concept on what it means to be thankful, and a new concept and what it means to give God your all.
Volunteer!
Take it a step and volunteer for the many positions open to willing, available and competent servants. Openings are in: office work, general maintenance, construction, and donation managing.

Join our Prayer team! la Roca Ministries is dependent on Christ and His Body of Believers praying for us as we aspire to serve Him more and more in ever expanding for ways. Conversely, we love to pray others, and see God moving in their lives. If you would like for us to pray you, please let us know.
Donate!
We are dependent on a variety of donations which we bring across the border. Financial donations keep us running and the vision alive. While don’t place an emphasis on soliciting funds, they are always needed; however we put our trust in The Lord to be our true provider. All other donations must be in good and clean condition as it reflects on us how we show God’s love to the people we want to reach.

- Commercial stove
- 400 FORDFLATBED TRUCK for hauling water – any other used cards, vans or trucks in good running condition, we will accept as well.

La Roca Ministries reaches out to touch people’s lives that are devastated by poverty, neglect and despair. These people find themselves enslaved to drugs and alcohol and living in the streets of Tijuana, Mexico. Our desire is to mirror Christ’s compassion and concern to these people.
It has been said, “give a person a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a life.” We believed in “teaching people how to fish”. We want to see lives transformed and we believe that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our program seeks to help rebuild lives by making disciples; raising up men, women and teens as future leaders and missionaries, and sending them forth to advance the Kingdom of God on earth.

My name is Amanda and I am 22 years old. I have been coming to Tj since I was 14. I came down here last month (January) to stay for a year. Its amazing being here and watching people’s lives being changed by the various ministries. I am so blessed to be here. I know a lot of people worry about the violence and decide not to come. But there is no reason to be afraid. Out of all the times I’ve been down here, I’ve never had a problem with anything. We’ve actually gone to the beach in the evening had a small worship service before. You shouldn’t wander off alone to late, but it’s not like you should do that in any city. I’m more scared when I’m wandering around my own city at night then I am here. All I know is that God called me here, and nothing will stop me because I have him on my side. There is a phrase I keep posted that says, “Fear knocked at the door, and faith answered, there was no one there.” What more is there to say ?
