January 2024 Newsletter

Greetings to all our dear friends and partners.

The year of 2024 is here, may the Lord of Glory bless us as we continue walking in His work through His open doors! Even though 2024 will have its challenges, we move forward in what God has called us to do!

I would like to share with you about the three children we just received at the beginning of this year! First, Camila, a 11 year old girl who was brough to us by her mother because of abuse by a stepfather! The first thing we did is get Camila registered into school! Then, equally important, we were able to put her under the care of our psychiatrists.

The other two are boys named Javier who is 9 and Miguel who is 7 years old! They both were living in the streets with their mother and going from shelter to shelter! The mother has mental issues which made it very difficult for them to have a home and a permanent place to live. The mother was brought to us by one of our evangelists working the streets of Tijuana. Right away she started acting up and our staff informed me she could not stay with us! But before we were able to talk to her, she left with the boys on her own. The good news is, she came back the next day, informing us she wanted to leave her two boys with us, knowing they would be in good hands!

We are so glad she came back and made one of the best decisions in her life. Her two sons will thank her when they grow up! As you see in the picture, they are as happy as you can get! I am sure they are glad to get off the streets. Please pray for these three children within their new home and for Magdalena, the mother of the two boys!

Please pray for us as we undertake this huge responsibility and our resources to maintain both our facilities and our work.

Before we closed 2023, our youth, along with other members of La Roca Church, went to our local police station a block away and served them with honor. We had a small Christmas gift for each officer, including coffee and sweet pastries. We wanted to let them know how much we appreciate their faithfulness to the people on the street! It was a great experience for both them and us!

A short testimony from our women’s academy. We had another woman leave prostitution! Not an easy task for her, especially, having three children in school.

We are so proud of her, as she put her trust in Jesus Christ to be her Savior and provider!! She changed her phone number and took down her website. From there, there is no turning back! Sorry for not having any pictures, hope you understand.

From all of us, we thank you for being part of our La Roca family.

We are continuing to grow in Sonora, Oaxaca, and Chiapas and are reaching hundreds every single day!

We now have three evangelists working the streets of Tijuana. We are also supporting a small recovery center, outside the city limits! Together there is no limit to where God can take us!

Again, thanks for your prayers and support and may 2024 be another great year as we continue to take our Lord’s Word to all of Tijuana and the rest of Mexico.

In His Love and Truth,

Pastor Carlos and Rossy Montoya and the rest of our La Roca team.
