March 2024 Newsletter

Greetings to all our friends and family!

I Hope you all had a wonderful Easter week, as we celebrate our Lord’s death, and Resurrection! This always gives me more passion and zeal to do His Work that He has called us to do! More conviction and strength to go out to all people, even thou many will reject the message most of the time! But in the mist of all, God receives all the Glory!

Now, I am going to do something that I have not been able to do in the past, write about one ministry of many that we have.

And that ministry is the House of Grace. It’s one that is closest to my heart. Our children who arrive confused and angry, not understanding why they are being left behind. And we and especially our wonderful staff, that become the loving hand and feet of Jesus Christ, not always an easy task 7/24!

As I wrote, in the first two months of this year, we received 7 new children. And in the month of March, we received a mother named Nancy who is only 22 years old, with her two children. The youngest Tadeo, who is only 15 months and the oldest brother named Edson who is 4 years old. What brought them to us, sadly, was domestic violence.

When I first saw Nancy, she had bruises on her arms, and it was obvious that she and her kids had suffered a lack of proper care to put it nicely. Just to think of men being abusive to the ones they promised to take care off and protect. God will surely not turn away from this horrible sin! But we are happy that God send them to us as well as all the other children and mothers! It has been a blessing to see many others go on with life, after receiving a little help! Amazing what the love of God through our wonderful staff can accomplished! There is nothing more wonderful than to see their faces light up after just a short stay with us!

They are happy for the very first time, playing just like children should. Being kids, playing, going to school, and now seeing many become teenagers and now some becoming young adults!

Like Lupita, who just turned 18 years old, and has finished high school and now has applied to a university to become a master Chief. Wow, this is great, this is exciting! But I hate to say this, we will need the funds for our young adults who are going to seek a higher education, like Lupita. We need to create a separate account just for higher education for our young adults. Who is in, if you can give any amount to these boys and girls that have become young adults. Now seeking that which they thought was impossible, and many still have a hard time believing that this can become a reality. But with God moving His people all things are possible!

And last and not least, Adrian and Britza who we had the privilege to marry like 3 years ago, and now will start severing at the Orphanage this month. I still remember the day when I took Adrian from the dump to the ranch to get cleaned up. And Britza who came to us at the age of 5 years old. Will, who would have known it, they met in the ministry and shortly after that we married them. Of course, they had their trials as they went into the work force to start their new lives, but they have found victory over them. Please pray as Adrian will start helping with our teenage boys and Britza will start helping with the smallest children. Please pray for them, that they become the help for others as one day some were the help for them. What a praise report!

Again, thanks for being part of La Roca family. You have made this a dream come true for so many. Thanks for being obedient to God and moving with His guidance.

Your friends and family, Carlos and Rossy Montoya and the rest of La Roca staff, who have been serving for years so faithfully.
