June 2023 Newsletter

Greetings to all our brothers and sisters in the name of the Lord!

Summer is here! Children are out of school and the hectic rhythms of life shifts a little. It is the season to take a little more time with family and friends. Maybe some travel or other leisure options will become available.

Here at La Roca, we are looking forward to praising our Lord Jesus Christ, by been able to announce the purchase of the mission center and headquarters! The Good News is that we have raised $75,000.00 dollars, but we need an additional $70,000.00 dollars within the next 30 days! If we cannot raise the total amount of $145,000.00 by July, we will have to withdrawal funds from our general account leaving us short for our monthly bills and the support our missionaries depend on! So please prayerfully consider what each one of you can do with this great opportunity our Lord God has been given to us in our twenty fifth year anniversary serving our Lord together!

Our Discipleship ranch is doing great, producing more disciples for the work of the ministry! Two more men have finished the program and are now serving full-time. Their names are Victor and Humberto; they like many others, have come from a very dark past, as the saying goes, same movie, but very different actors! The one thing that changes everything, as we all know, is when we have spiritual eyes to see with hearts opened to righteousness and truth! When the light of truth enters the soul, what a transformation! All things change, all perceptions change, just like its say’s in 2 Corinthians 5:17-18, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ has reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation!” Amen!

This is the awesome work of the Holy Spirit, and we have the awesome privilege of seeing His mighty hand at work every single day! So again, thanks for your prayers and support allowing us to continue the work we have been called to do!

House of Grace

We now have two new girls, their names are Nicole, 16 years old, and Julieta who is 10 years old! I met Nicole’s mother at church as she was crying over her desperate situation. But we were able to offer the care that Nicole’s mother needed and that led her to leave her daughter with us!

She was saying I don’t have a place to live and I work all day just to pay for a hotel room in a very dangerous place, full of drugs and prostitution! I hate the thought of leaving her all alone with nobody to take care of my girl! I am so relieved to have found La Roca Orphanage, where my girl is in a nice safe place where she has a warm bed, warm meal and soon will be back in school. This encourages me a lot to continue to fight, so I can offer my daughter a better life, with the help of La Roca Ministries

Julieta was brought to us, because her grandmother was no longer able to support her, since she lives on a very small pension! Julieta came with many medical needs and we are doing everything possible to make sure she gets all her medical attention, so she can have a full recovery! Please pray for these two girls, as they have become part of La Roca family!

Quick update

We had seven baptisms this month, all for the glory of this name.

Again, thank you all for being part of La Roca family; your faithfulness helps sustain the work of La Roca month in and month out! Any additional support you can provide this summer will help us with the purchase of the mission center and headquarters, along with our outreach needs. This will propel us into the fall season with an already increased demand for La Roca trusted teaching and services!

So again, thank you for all you all do, In His Love and Truth!

Your missionaries, Carlos and Rossy Montoya and the rest of La Roca team!
