Greetings to all in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We trust all of you are doing well and staying strong!
We cannot believe it! The Gala is just around the corner! By the time you receive this letter our Gala will only be days away. If, at the last moment, you are able to come, please do! Just show up and pay at the door but please let us know, if by smoke signals, phone, Messager, telegram or Facebook! One thing for sure, we would love to have you here in person, to embrace you in the Love and kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ! As we celebrate these wonderful 25 years of ministry. We pause looking back in memory, my wife Rossy serving in the Juvenile detention jail in Tijuana, 1988! Rossy reached out to many young girls, and we were able to take in many of them ourselves!
In 1998 we began reaching out to the Mixtecos people living in Tijuana and Ensenada. We purchased our discipleship Ranch in the year 2000 where many lives have been changed from the inside out! Two of them are still with us today! Juan, serving in Oaxaca, and Andres, as pastor and director of the Ranch!
We began reaching out to Delicias in 2001, about 20 minutes from the ranch, and are still ministering there today!
La Roca Ministries opened our first shelter in Zona Norte in 2002! Where many of these reached are still working with us today! What a praise report!
La Roca opened our new Orphanage in 2003 and many of these young people are still with us today! Many have finished high school, and many others are married! We have been able to help many single mothers in their most difficult time, who have been abandoned, keeping them off the streets and prostitution!
We opened our first church in Zona Norte in 2004 where we started ministering to all those in the Red-Light district. We were bursting at the seams in a very short time!
La Roca Ministries started our first bible school right there in the right light district in 2005! Where many have graduated and have gone on to serve with us or with other ministries!
Our La Roca Church and Shelter moved to our new location in 2009. What a blessing! We have tripled in size expanding the number of people we can house and help them get established as a productive citizen of His kingdom and Mexico!
We opened our first church at the new dump in 2013 which now is called La Esperanza, meaning Hope! We feed children and workers who are on the dump site every single day! La Roca has become a light of hope to all there!
We started our outreach into the State of Sonora in 2018. It has blossomed beyond our expectations! We have two additional church plants with five additional kids and youth groups located in 5 different villages!
La Roca expanded our next ministry in Oaxaca in the year 2020! Our Lord is blessing this ministry, flourishing with the excellent work by Juan and Olga! They are feeding and teaching 60 or more children at this location, what a blessing!
The Women’s Academy was opened in 2022 helping women get out of prostitution. Several have left this lifestyle so far and many others are taking classes and learning new skills to equip their independence and security!
And now in 2023 we have a missionary, Magdiel Cueto in Chiapas, who served in Sonora for two years, now ministering with an excellent start with a children’s ministry kids club. With the goal of opening a new church plant soon!
We are so thankful to have this growth and expansion! Not all is included in what God has allowed us to do, But we know that this increase comes only from God our Father!
Our wonderful heavenly Father has blessed La Roca Ministries in so many ways! So many of you have participated in God’s grace through La Roca Ministries and we thank you! Many of you have become so very dear to us! Thanks for walking close by our side and believing with us in the work our loving Father provides. It is God Himself who is directing our footsteps, showing us the way in which we walk both within our own selves, as well as within this world of darkness in which we now live!
We can’t wait to see, where else God is going to take us! All we know is that All things are possible with God! Amen!
