As we started the count down for the end of 2023, we approached the month of November with a grateful heart! We began celebrating the victories God has provide for the past 25 years!
The Gala was more than we anticipated. Two weeks before that Gala, there were only 46 registered attendees; we reduced our food requirements from 100 to 80. Then, in the last week before the Gala, we were approaching 80 but some were still not committed! So, we decided to plan for 100 as originally planned! By the end of the Gala evening, there were 118 people, including the DA of San Diego, and City Council of San Ysidro, and many more close friends who have supported La Roca Ministry almost from the beginning!
All I can say is, we were all blessed indeed! I want to thank all those who came making our 25-year anniversary a great success! This gives us the resolution to look toward 2024 and grow from here! I can’t wait to see what God is going to do these next two months looking forward through 2024 into the next 25 years!
Our “Celebrating Jesus Night” was a great success as well! Many received rewards and candy, our youth did a great job presenting a show as well as presenting the Gospel for all to hear!
We urgently need to upgrade many of our games for events, so if anybody has games you might want to donate, or, if you want to just write a check, that would be great too! You can also go to our web-page at Larocaministries.org. We welcome all with open arms!
On this same weekend, our adopted daughter, Esmeralda, whom we have known from middle school, has become a great doctor and is finally married to a wonderful husband, Aroldo! What a joy to see this day finally arrive! All I can say is, it was a weekend full of joy and excitement!
Finishing out the weekend, we had our La Roca board meeting finishing out the year! So, as you see, it was a busy week, or should I say, a busy month! But thanks to our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ for giving us the vision to press forward!
Regardless of what might be happening around us, we give God all the praise, this is the reason He has established La Roca Ministries, to have the Name of Jesus praised throughout Mexico and the United States of América! Amen!
Continue to pray for us as we pursue our expansion in Sonora and in Oaxaca! Our blessed missionaries Juan and Olga are doing a great Job in Oaxaca and Cueto, who has been 2 months in Chiapas, starting a kids club with the hope of planting a church also!
As Christmas approaches, we are going to need funds for toys at all our ministry locations! Many Children don’t receive gift’s because local families can’t afford them. Families are concerned about putting food on the table, leaving the children imagining what Christmas looks like on T.V. But La Roca will be there for thousands of children who cannot afford Christmas! There will be no tree, and not much joy, but we will be there bringing the light of the world into their homes!
So, as you can see, God is keeping us quite busy! We love the challenges that comes with growth!
So again, thank you all for standing with us and becoming part of this great family for these twenty-five years and many more to come!
