House of Grace Orphanage
The House of Grace is a long-term residential home for children whose families are unable to provide care for a variety of reasons, including addictions, prostitution, and abandonment. The house is also available for single mothers running away from domestic violence or sex trafficking! Once the children are here, they may stay as long as needed, even through college. The House of Grace generally admits boys and girls ages 3 to 16, and we do not charge anything; donations entirely fund the program. All the children attend public and vocational schools. We also provide state-licensed counselors who specialize in family and child therapy!
Our mission is to provide a loving, Christ-centered home for children separated from their parents. We do this by helping them establish long-term relationships with stable parental figures, preparing them for success in adult life, and, most importantly, by pointing them to a relationship with Jesus Christ!
The cost of operation for 2023 was $68,000. We rely on donations to continue to provide this blessing to the children.
If you love working with children, please consider coming on a short term missions trip to volunteer at the orphanage. Located less than an hour away from San Diego, California this is a unique opportunity to love and serve children whose lives have been anything but easy. By serving at the House of Grace Orphanage, you can provide much-needed love and support to children who have experienced difficult circumstances. Whether it's playing games, assisting with homework, or simply being a listening ear, your presence can make a world of difference.
