For Groups and Individuals!

This is how a week will usually look like for a group coming out on a missions trip with us, but of course, there is room for changes to fit the needs of each group! If you are an individual wishing to serve with us or you are a professional and want to bless us with your skill set please get in contact with us. We need you!

First, we have been serving in San Diego, CA & Tijuana, Mexico, for over 26 years, with much passion and love toward those who have no hope and find themselves in despair! We show them the Love of Christ through His Word and service!

Monday – Go to the market and buy the produce and fruit to make lunch bags! These same bags will be passed out at the dump, where we will see the workers sorting through the garbage for their next meal or things for recycling!

We will walk in like Jesus did, not waiting for them to come to us! We will go to them and pass out lunch bags to each person, making eye and hand contact and praying for them!

After we are done, we will go to the community of La Esperanza, where we have a church led by Pastor Julian. There, we will go from house to house, passing our fruit bags to each person and praying for each person we find!

It would be a great blessing for those who want to have a small service at the church with its members! It’s something you will never forget!

Some groups might want to build a tiny house 8 x 12 for somebody, so as you can see, this is as easy as a full day!

Tuesday—for those staying with us, early breakfast and morning devotion! Then get ready to go to our Orphanage, which is only 15 minutes away! There, we will get ready to have games and V.B.S.

Do some small projects like painting outside or inside. With so many kids, a fresh paint coating will be a great blessing!

For lunch, the group usually orders pizza or buys carne asada for tacos. Either way, the kids love them both!

During lunch, we all will sit down together and share some testimonies or words of encouragement! After we are done, back to the project or play time or whatever needs to be done!

After we are done, we get ready to serve at our shelter! Dinner is served at six pm, so we are there around 5:30 to help prepare things to start serving. At seven pmp.m., we ask if somebody in the group would like to share the Word or a word of encouragement, and then we finish by praying for the men!

Drive back to the mission center for dinner, have devotion, and debrief on the day! Like your high points and low points!

Wednesday kids club at 5 pm. We should go and buy what needs to be purchased, then go to the church early to prepare for the event. While we are there, we could paint or do whatever needs to be done. If the group has songs to sing or plays to perform, it would be a great time to rehearse.

Thursday—Again, up for breakfast at 8 am and devotion to get the group ready for the day! Go to the market or Costco to buy food for the La Roca Ranch! We will bring a pleasant surprise lunch for the men. We will sit together and eat together, sharing stories of how God has changed lives! And last, the hearing of the men signing together will rock your house!

Anyway, we will work on cleaning or building and play volleyball together! And for those who want to stay late, a bonfire with marshmallows! It’s one of my favorite days!

For those who want to get back early and help with the kids club at 5 pm at La Roca church!

Thursday, this day could be taken for those who want to take a day off to shop and get to know Tijuana. But for those who wish to continue to work, so be it!

For those who want to go to the red light district, pass out tracks and pray for the women in prostitution, or do a prayer walk as a group!

After we are done, we can take the Orphanage children to the beach for a late lunch or vice versa.

Friday - Do an outreach for kids at Delicias, like a small carnival, or do one in the Zona Norte. With food and games and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word!

Please remember this is only an example of what a week could look like! Things can be easily changed to fit the agenda of each group.  I hope this helps, but if you have any concerns or have a particular project in mind, please let us know by contacting us.

In His Love and Truth, Pastors Carlos and Rossy Montoya
