Greetings to all! Hope your summer was a productive one!

Remembering we are the church of Christ, and first responders in time of trouble and distress!

It is sin which brings guilt, despair and shame! Jesus brings the solution to the problem of sin. He is the one who can release us from guilt, despair and shame! Jesus Christ is the answer!

So, I would like to challenge the church to get busy doing the Lord’s work! We are proclaiming, announcing and declaring to all that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life! No one can come to the heavenly Father, unless through Him! Amen!

With that being said, we are quite busy doing the work our Father has called us to do!

At the Orphanage we have received 7 new children in the last two months, 4 boys and 3 girls!

Three are sisters whose mother used to cross people into the USA! She decided to stop because it started getting more difficult! So, she started using the girls to sell candy at the border crossing. Then, one day, she was approached by the police and told if she did not get her kids out of the border, they were going to take them away!

As she was desperately thinking of what to do, she heard about La Roca. She called us the next day and before you know it, the girls were part of La Roca family!

The boy standing in the back all alone is Julio! His father came to us because his wife ran out on them! His dad could not work and watch over his son at the same time! He doesn’t make enough money to afford a babysitter and they have no family in Tijuana! But again, by word of mouth, Julio’s dad heard about us. And now Julio is part of our family!

Julio is only five years old and having a hard time adjusting, who could blame the poor little guy. Please keep Julio in your prayers!

The three boys at the bottom of the picture are brothers. Their mother was deported from the USA and brought to Tijuana with her three sons. Even though her sons were born in the United States, she decided to bring them with her to Tijuana!

The mother found herself not knowing what to do until she was told about us! So, in a few days her sons became part of the La Roca family!

So, as you see, we are always ready to respond in the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ! Always ready, waiting with open arms for those who come knocking at our door!

At our shelter, we have reached our new limit of one hundred and fifty men! This is to make it more manageable for the staff as well as the interns! The men are grateful for having a safe place to come every single day where they receive a warm meal, a warm shower and a clean bed! And so much more!

Sonora continues to grow in all aspects, from the number of people we reach to the people we serve and the people whom we give warm meals to! But as the ministry continues to grow, so do our expenses! Thanks for your prayers, but would you consider sending a little financial help our way?

I promise your investment will go a long way! We are serving with all our hearts in the midst of these crazy days in which we are living!

In His Love and Truth,

Carlos and Rossy and the rest of La Roca ministries!
