April 2022 Newsletter
Dear friends and brothers in Christ.
I hope you are doing well and you and family had a wonderful and meaningful Easter!
If you remember, we sent out our March letter requesting prayer for the children and people of Ukraine. We were wondering what else we could do being so far away. But within days, we found single mothers and their children right in our own back yard.
Our daughter Karla, wanting to help as soon as possible, moved quickly! We gave her needed resources to move fast, and she did! She quickly found favor with those who were locally organizing.
I went with her one night and saw firsthand how effectively she organized and was giving out donations to those in need and coordinating transportation through Uber for appointments; she also helped move belongings of people from street locations to more secure locations using a La Roca vehicle, and so much more!
She has become without a doubt a much need volunteer working 8 to 10 hours shifts at times! Twice she has been interviewed by our local news.
Rossy and I are all so proud of her! She is representing Jesus first and La Roca ministries also during these very uncertain circumstances! We have also opened up our mission center to those who are serving as volunteers along with Karla.
Two more on our staff have secured driver’s licenses, what a praise report! Alejandro Lopez on the left is going into the military this August. He has been faithfully serving at the Ranch but now is at the men’s shelter! Tavo, on the right, is our new lead worship singer! It is great to have him back. Please keep these two in your prayers as they continue to grow in service and ministry areas.
Another praise report is the Wednesday women’s group. And only about 4 to 6 mothers have been coming, but now, we are experiencing about 20 mothers showing up! It is 5 times larger in a very short time.
The mothers are bringing their children or grandchildren to our kid’s club which is now growing at a very fast rate also. This makes all the sense in the world, the more mothers, the more children; they both work hand in hand. We now have anywhere from 35 to 55 children coming to our kid’s club.
As the mothers wait for their kids, our staff is teaching them stories from the bible. Please pray for them, that their eyes are open to receive the only truth that can set people free, since many of them are not believers!
Another great report on the 1st Sunday of April! Andres’, mother, Olga, was baptized along with two others. She was with us about six years ago, when she received the Lord. And now that she came back and has stayed at the ranch with her son Andres, requested to be baptized before going back home. We announced one week ahead of her baptism date to see who else might want to be baptized as well! Two more said yes! Their names are Jose Angel and Jose Humberto! Keep these three in your prayers as they are now ambassadors of Christ!
Just to let you all know; I am still doing my rounds as I take much needed food to families living in some very difficult places to reach! Tires used as stairs and when it rains, it becomes almost impossible to reach! Please pray for these families who are in so much need, especially during these very difficult times.
Also, keep our missionaries in prayer in Sonora their names are as followed, Jesus, Itzel, Horacio, Lourdes and Magdiel. Oaxaca their names are Juan and Olga and Chiapas, Ezequiel.
So, as you see, we are moving forward in all our areas with God’s favor. Thanks for your prayers and support, allowing us to advance Jesus’ Kingdom. Never forgetting, we are all called to be His Ambassadors!
In His truth and Love, your missionaries Carlos and Rossy and the rest of La Roca team.
