February 2025 Newsletter

Hello, dear friends and family,
As we step into this new year, I want to invite all of you to join us in prayer for La Roca—especially for God’s direction in 2025.
One of the things on my heart this year is the expansion and long-term establishment of our mission in Chiapas. Right now, our church is meeting in the same temporary space we use for our children’s ministry, but it is far from ideal. We are praying for the opportunity to solidify the church by sending additional missionaries to work alongside Magdiel Cueto, as well as for wisdom in finding a permanent space—either through construction or rental—so we can establish La Roca Mission there in a way similar to what we are doing in Sonora.

We are also incredibly encouraged by the growth we’re seeing in our youth. Several of our young people have started seminary, and many others are nearing the completion of High School and preparing for university. Please continue to pray for the House of Grace youth as we guide them toward Jesus and strive to provide them with the best educational foundation possible, equipping them to thrive when they step into the next chapter of their lives. As many of you know, we operate on a very tight budget, and this spring, we have two mission trips planned to Chiapas and Oaxaca. These trips are crucial for both encouraging and overseeing the work being done in these remote locations. We humbly ask for your support in funding these trips. If you feel led to contribute, you can donate at larocaministries.org/trip-donations

Additionally, we are looking to replace the chairs in the chapel at our rehabilitation ranch. If you or someone you know would be willing to donate chairs or contribute financially, you can give at larocaministries.org/chairs
We are raising also funds for metal bunk beds for the shelter. We have started building 10 bunk beds with the $3000 Dlls already donated. We need an additional $6,000 to build 20 more metal bunk beds. Ricardo, our mechanic and welder, is constructing them on-site at our campus in Zona Norte.
Metal bunk beds are essential because wooden ones tend to harbor bedbugs, creating an ongoing struggle for both the residents and staff. Your support will help provide a cleaner, safer, and more comfortable space for those in need. If you feel led, you can donate at https://larocaministries.org/beds

Lastly, we want to extend an open invitation to anyone who feels called to serve—whether in person in Tijuana or San Diego, or remotely through skills in marketing or social media. Your time and talents can make a huge impact. You can send us a message on our website: https://larocaministries.org/contact-us
Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and continued support. We are so grateful to walk this journey alongside each of you.
In His Love and Truth,
Carlos and Rossy Montoya
