March 2025 Newsletter
Greetings to all our friends and family!
Thank you for your continued support of La Roca ministries. This month I have some more exciting news to share!
First, we had 3 more people finish the program at our discipleship ranch! Here is a picture of our 3 graduates. Starting from the left is Domingo. He finished our program, while being 80% blind. And thanks to God, He has an upcoming appointment for His eye surgery, which will give him his sight back! Second is Fausto, who after graduating returned home to be with his family, Thank You Lord. And on the right is Diego, who is one of the ones being sent to go serve in Chiapas. This is so awesome, what God is doing in our midst!
We also have an exciting opportunity in Tapachula, Chiapas—located about 45 minutes north of Guatemala.
For nearly three years, we’ve had a dedicated missionary who has established a local kids’ club serving 25 to 30 children weekly, as well as a small church of 15 to 20 members meeting in his parents’ carport. Recently, we spent five days in Chiapas visiting Magdiel and were encouraged by the awesome work he’s doing with both the kids’ club and the new church plant.
During our visit, we agreed that it’s time to expand our ministry—not only by growing the kids’ club and church but also by establishing a shelter for the hundreds of immigrants crossing from Guatemala. We were surprised to see so many people from all around, like Cuba and many other countries. Our goal is to establish a dedicated church campus in Chiapas that will serve the people in Chiapas as well as pave the way for future ministry expansion into Guatemala, God willing.
While we were exploring downtown Chiapas, we were blessed to find a two-story building available at a very reasonable rate of $1,000 per month with a $2,000 deposit. Although some work is needed, its affordability makes it an ideal venue for our expansion.
I would like to ask if you or any church partners, would prayerfully consider supporting our expansion in Tapachula Chiapas with any amount. This would allow us to reach people from all over Central and South America. Also allowing us to double in size, with our kid’s club and church, and being able to shelter up to 100 people, including families.
Below is the combined breakdown of our startup and first-month costs (all amounts in USD):
We kindly ask you to prayerfully consider supporting this vital expansion of God’s Kingdom in Chiapas. We are looking to raise $52,995 to fund our first year in this new location. Your support will significantly help us cover these startup costs and launch this ministry expansion. Additionally, if you know of any individuals or groups who might be interested in partnering with us on this mission, please let us know.
Thank you for your prayers, support, and careful consideration of this exciting opportunity to expand La Roca Ministry in Chiapas and beyond. I have been waiting for 28 years for this opportunity!
