April 2021 Newsletter
Greetings to all!
Hope you all find yourselves strong in the faith, because He is trustworthy!
There is so much to write about and so much good news!
But first I want to share with you an exciting story and how the Lord uses us and at the same blesses us and others.
Then, I also want to make an announcement about how you can now join us in sharing what is already going on at La Roca Ministries.
But first the story!
Our story is about Maggie. Maggie is on staff at The House of Grace and also blesses us as part of our worship team.
Maggie has not heard anything from her mother or her siblings for about 15 years! Her younger sister was killed by their grandmother. Unfortunately, Maggi saw her sister being beaten to death!
All of Maggi’s siblings were then separated by government authorities. Even Maggi’s little sister who was only months old when she was taken away. Maggi, of course, lost track of her and all of her siblings for all these years!
Months ago we began looking into an Adopting a Ministry that would come alongside young single mothers! The directors of this ministry are very close to us and were baptized with us! Anyways, just last month, Rossy and other staff members started having Bible classes with these young mothers.
In the process of getting to know these young teens, a group conversation brought up Maggi’s name. A young mother of 17 in the group asked, what was Maggi’s last name? And when she heard Maggi’s last name was the same name as hers, she jumped up and started hugging Rossy, and crying!
“You know my sister!”
Her cry was so loud with such joy, she just held onto Rossy! Rossy was startled and surprised to hear what this young mother was saying! Was this Maggi’s little sister who was only months old when they were separated?
Rossy did not want to promise anything ‘till we could verify that this mother’s suspicion was true! Rossy asked for this young mothers birth certificate and compared it to Maggi’s!
Sure enough, they matched! Same father and mother, same last names! But since this young mother is under age and has no way to support her baby, they are both under D.I.F. protection!
This is where we need your prayers! Pray that we can help bring at least Maggi and her sister back together after so many years of separation and not knowing anything about each other!
But the story doesn’t stop there. Maggie, with the help of other staff, started looking for Maggie’s mother, and praise God, one week later her mother was found! And about the same time her brother was also found! This is nothing less than a miracle from above! Gods favor upon Maggi and her family!
Maggie was so excited to see her mother and brother after 15 years of not knowing anything about then! But we must walk with caution, because back in those days her mother had anger problems!
So, we need your continued prayers for Maggie’s mother as well. Pray with us that God brings peace to Maggie’s mother and God gives them favor before the authorities, so that, they can get back together as a family!
Amazing how God continues to use us in so many different ways! Our time and effort, makes it all worthwhile! There is nothing better than to be used by God to bring reconciliation between each other and between us and God!
Now for the other good news!
We are ready for groups to come down and minister with us side by side! We are ready to accommodate your group in both Tijuana or Sonora.
We can accommodate your group with the number of days you may want to schedule, from just doing a weekend or 3 to 5 days!
You may want to visit our Orphanage, visit our ministry at the Dump and take a trip to the La Roca Ranch Ministry just a few miles out to the southeast. Perhaps you would like to do a VBS (Vacation Bible Study) in one of the 3 church’s that we have in Tijuana!
In Sonora we have a dorm and bathrooms with showers for the group’s convenience! We feed the elderly in Sonora and we have 5 kids clubs in our children’s ministry so we can do VBS for all ages! We also have adult Bibles classes in three out of the five villages we are in!
I can also be there in person if you would like, but we do have a great team on site 7/24!
Many building projects are available for those who want to help us get caught up in both Tijuana and Sonora!
Just give me a call or go to our web-page at larocaministried.org. We look forward to seeing you all soon!
Just to let you all know, we have had two quinceañeras in the last six months and two more in the next 5 months! Lupita chose to have traditional quinceañera while Vianney chose to go on a trip to San Felipe, since she has never been out of Tijuana. Emily has also chosen a trip, while Maria has chosen the traditional quinceañera. Thanks for allowing us to make a difference, and bring healing in so many people’s lives! Our Lord, through you, provides for us to make this all possible!
Here is a picture of our assistant nurse, Edith! She finally finished her training and is ready to work. She has been helping us take care of Anahi’s mother who has cancer! She has done a great job and we are so proud of her!
Thank you all for being part of this great family that works till of our Savior comes back again to takes us home with Him!
Thanks for your faithful support and prayers, for they are so much needed!
In His Love and Truth, Carlos and Rossy and team!
