June newsletter

Greeting to all!

May you all find yourselves well and blessed!

We have some fantastic news, our evangelistic team to the Zona Norte red light district, have ripped one of our first fruits! Berenice who was the first one to accept an invention to have some coffee and hear the salvation plan without all the pressures of the job!

Berenice received the Lord, and weeks later has decided to go back home and leave the life of prostitution! That’s a praise report and there are two more who have accepted an invitation to our women’s retreat in the second week of June!

We have invited them at no cost! So please continue to keep this ministry in prayer, alone with Mary and Yessi who are doing a awesome job! It’s hard reaching these women who some are doing it for the money and others against their will! Again, thanks for your prayer and supper which allows us to continue to reach the lost for Christ!

We also have started an outreach to the immigrant’s camp, where there are close to 1,500 people there waiting to get across into the United States! We have started passing out food to all, twice a week! We are also planning of bring some of the mothers and their children to the church, so they can bathe and get some lunch. So please pray for us as we tackle this situation, trusting the Lord to keep us safe and for us to be used by God as His hands and feet!

Our children’s outreach continues to grow to all those around the Zona Norte! We easy have over 30 kids come together for food and games. But most important, hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Just two weeks ago Pastor Alex was told about a van going into an alley where we had our kids club before, and men came out with weapons looking for a young adult! They found him and left with in minutes! The people were told not to say anything otherwise get shoot! This has become the new normal in the Zona Norte, where you find just about anything and everything!

We could say, it’s the darkness part of Tijuana, where people are scared of coming in! But guess what, that is exactly where the church of Christ needs to be! Right in the middle of evil, being the light for all to see!

We also have received three new girls at the House of Grace! Their mother works at the border selling candy alongside with her daughters! The police told her to find a place for her kids or they would take them away and placed with D.I.F. She was told about us and before you know it she was there at the house!

Their names are as follows from right to left, Brisa, Lluvia and Yamileth and their mothers name Francisca!

Also, an update with the new structure being built at the ranch, which will allow us to receive more men into the program at one time! As of now we can only receive 3 men at the most within a two-week period! But with this new structure, we would be allowed to receive up to 8 men in the same amount of time! As of now we have 32 people at the ranch including our staff!

And as for Sonora, things are happening there, with the kid’s clubs and adult class and the feeding of the elders, so as you see our staff are keeping quite busy! They also have found relief with the two mini splits added this month! Where the temperatures go well into the 100’s! We can say that our team are sleeping a little better!

So as you see, we are making progress in all areas! And I am so proud of our team! Again, thanks for being part of this family, and together working for His glory!

In His Love and Truth, Carlos and Rossy and the rest of the team!
